Slowing down effect

Post by PhildeP » Fri Mar 02, 2012 5:11 pm

I would like to slow down the ending of a track over 4-5 seconds to give the effect of a vinyl record being switched off so the track grinds to a halt. I've tried various ways in Audacity without success.
I am doing this for our local am-drams panto this weekend! HELP PLEASE!!

Have you tried the Sliding Time Scale / Pitch Shift effect?

There is also a plug-in called "Turntable Warping MS" http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Nyqui ... Warping_MS
To install this plug-in, download the ZIP file. Extract the contents of the ZIP file into the Audacity Plug-Ins folder. Restart Audacity. The effect will then appear in the Effect menu (below the divider line).
