Overlapping sound

When I am recording guitar over drums I am getting way too much of the drums on my guitar track. How do I get a cleaner sound?

You are double recording the drum track instead of recording one track at a time. This can happen if you like to record Internet Audio and leave the Windows Recording System in Stereo-Mix, WAV Out, or one of those settings instead of Line-In or Mic-In. Root around in Windows Control Panels and see what you have set.

Got it going. But now when I try to add distortion with Amplitube from Ik Multimedia I'm getting moments of white noise :?
