Whenever I use audacity to record my voice, there is a slight delay between when I say something, and when audacity picks it up. I know it isn't lag, becuase my laptop is fast and new, I bought it a few weeks ago.
How can I fix this delay?

Switch off "software playthrough" (Transport menu).
