de-essing plug-in

Post by bmahoney » Sun Sep 14, 2008 1:19 pm

Hi

I'm doing a recording for friend and I have a fine voice but wery sibilant esses. I've tried several different mic positions etc, as I saw advised on another thread, but it's really no better. Is there a filter available? Can I change something in the settings? Or try and re-write with no esses?
Thanks
Bronwyn
ps I searched for de-ess, de-essing in the forums and got 0 -- though I found some info through search for sibilant, and these posts had de-ess in their body.

I'm working on a Nyquist de-esser plug-in at the moment and will be looking for people to test it in the near future. If you would like to try it, PM me your e-mail address and I'll e-mail you when it's ready for testing.
