Is 1.3.14 safe?

I am looking for an honest answer. Is this software safe to download? I am leery as I recently caught a worm and crashed but got my computer up and running as you can see. When I attempted to download, I received a security warning regarding an "unknown publisher". Please comment with your opinion. Thank you.

Most software available for Windows downloaded from the internet is warned as being from an "unknown publisher" including some made by Microsoft.

Sometimes, virus checkers can report warnings with the Audacity installers for Windows (.exe) because they are a compressed installer (to make them smaller for downloading). If you are concerned, please download the .zip file instead and virus-check that:
