I was wondering how i can make the recorded soundwaves in the windows beta version look like the recorded soundwaves (heartbeat like line) in the linux beta version. I need this because a friend of mine wants to record a phrase in soundwaves to have tattooed and the windows version shows it as a blocky looking shape.
Thanks

Re: Recorded Sound Wave Style
I wonder if that's not a restriction in the Windows video drivers or video card. I've never seen a blocky waveform in multiple computers -- all three Operating Systems. What's the resolution of the screen? The screen I'm using this second is 1600/1200. The ones at work are full HiDef 1920/1080.

A friend of mine just took an older WinXP machine out of service. He used 600/800 because it was easier to see. That might have produced a seriously blocky waveform.
