1.3.14-beta WINDOWS 7 32 bit does not recognize USB port

Post by SDS » Sun Dec 25, 2011 4:12 pm

I installed the Beta version in a netbook with Windows 7 32 bit after following al the instructions provided with the device. After installing the SW, I plugged the device to USB port. Windows pop up message says that it was unable to recognize the device. How do I get an update driver for Tape2USB that is compatible with Windows 7.

Here is the driver version that your SW installed in my machive:6.1.7601.17586

Is this device compatible with Windows 7 OS 32 bits?
I would appreciate your assistance

Thanks

We'd be Googling. It seems the device is discontinued. You could call them or dig in their web site for legacy drivers.

I'm surprised that Windows couldn't find it. Playing a cassette tape into a computer is not rocket surgery. The standard, unexciting USB drivers for a generic sound device should do it.

Unless your device is broken.

Can you try it on another computer?

Just going on some of the comments posted on the forum, I got the impression that the generic USB drivers would be enough. Try rebooting your computer and see if the problem persists.
