Splitting

Hello,
i have made a mix with 10 songs. each one in a different line.MP3 Format.
the end of the first song is fit together with the song after.
i did succeed to make a splitt between the songs but there is a 1 second gap.
i red the instructions but i geuss i didnt understand how to cancel this gap.
please help.

I had you until there. You import multiple songs and use the time shift tool to push each one later and later so the start and stop points match or overlap. Pretty standard way to make a party or dance mix.

I don't understand what you're splitting.

We do warn people that MP3 is a video format and comes with holes and gaps built-in. Television frame gaps. But they're shorter than one second.

Are you getting the holes in your burned Music CD? Music CD authoring programs all put gaps in between songs unless you tell them not to do that. It's usually two seconds and usually a setting in the burn dialog.

Yes, I am getting the gap in the cd that i burn in MP3 Format.
Is it matter if in the "Export multiple" the expoert is wav or mp3?
beside this, Is this instruction can help: "Set Audacity to make your track splits at the 1/75th second frames that CDs use. This should ensure that you will not get clicks between tracks on account of the burning process, and that CD burning programs should be able to burn without pauses if you don't want to add gaps between the tracks in the burning software. To enable splits at CD frames in Audacity 1.2.6:
Click View > Set Selection format, and select "CDDA min:secs:frames 75 fps"
Then click Edit > "Snap to" and choose "On".

Another and simple question: In Nero there is "disc at once". if not is there another program with it.
i guess i just have to buy it...

"DAO" (Disk at Once) requires a read/write optical drive that supports DAO. Not all drives do. My Toshiba laptop at work does not, so writing gapless CDs is not possible on that machine.

Most good CD burning programs now support gapless audio tracks without needing to worry about CDA boundaries. I use CDBurnerXP which is a very good free CD/DVD burning program for Windows and can make gapless audio CDs (provided the drive supports DAO).

Of course the audio tracks need to be made without silence at the beginning/end for them to play without a gap.
Apart from reduced sound quality (compared to WAV), another problem with the MP3 format is that it always adds a little bit of silence to the beginning of a track which makes gapless burning impossible. Export from Audacity in WAV format.

I download the burner. works on Win7.
but its burn Audio. why not Mp3?
im goning to check if it work in my car and without the gap

Without going into too much technical detail, standard audio CDs use uncompressed audio and are a special format known as the "Red Book standard". CDs that are made in accordance with this standard should play on almost any CD player (and computer).

"MP3 CDs" do not comply with the Red Book standard and are classed as "Data CDs" rather than "Audio CDs". These disks will play on computers and some CD players, but most CD players cannot play them. To create an MP3 CD, export from Audacity in MP3 format and in CDBurnerXP select "Data CD" as the type of CD you want to make.

Hi Steve,
first of all thanks for your replay.
Finally i succeed to burn without gaps.
i did burn data but the order of the songs is not correct in the disc as i define .
the data burn i did with roxio burner.
i couldnt find data burn in cdburnerxp...
although, im happy with the resolt
