Can I change speed of a track without affecting the vocals?
This is probably a stupid question, but is there an effect that will slow down or speed up a track without affecting the vocals? For example, I don't want the vocals to sound so slow that they sound like "Frankenstein" is singing or so fast that they sound like "The Chipmunks" are singing them. I hope this makes sense. Thanks so much for any advice.

In a word, no.

I'm not sure exactly what you mean either, but my best guess would be to try the "Sliding Time Scale/Pitch Shift" effect (Audacity 1.3.13)
