switch left right channels

Post by zeeblauw22 » Sun Oct 09, 2011 8:12 am

I want to combine two stereo songs by pasting etc. one after the other. However, the second song has the stereo channels switched. How do I switch the channels, so the instruments do not appear to jump from one side to the other?

To swap the channels of a stereo track:
1) Click on the name of the track (you will see a drop-down menu).
2) Select "Split Stereo Track".
3) Click (and hold) just below the name of the lower track (where it says sample rate and bit format) and drag the track above the one above it, then release the mouse button.
4) Click on the name of the upper track of the pair.
5) Select "Make Stereo Track".

Thanks for the help Steve, it worked! apparently I couldn't find the solution in the faqs because I used the wrong term (switch, not swap)

I don't think that particular question is in the FAQ (though about 9 out of 10 questions asked here are, hence my signature ;)).
