recording
I am trying to transfer my vinyl collection to my pc before burning to music cd. Both input/output meters are indicating a signal for the left channel only (nothing for the right) and when I play back what I have transferred to the computer I am getting sound from my left hand speaker only. Both speakers are working perfectly well with other applications and when I play a cd on the computer. I have double checked all settings as suggested in help and made sure I have selected stereo rather than mono but the problem persists. No doubt I am doing something stupid! Is there a kind person out there who can help please?

Re: recording
Sounds like a bad connection for the right channel somewhere.
Check that the headshell is securely home (if it is a removable one)
Check that all the 4 connectors are securely pushed home on the catridge -do this carefully
If using RCA leads to connect to amp/computer then check these are ok - swap them over to test
If using a USB TT the gently wiggle the USB plug in its socket - or re-plug into a differt USB socket (don't us a USB-hub)

Re: recording
Thanks for that. Will check all connections as suggested.
