When I plug my guitar into my computer and try to record to audacity I'm getting no sound. Although what I'm playing is being recorded. How do I get sound while I'm playing and recording?

Set the Playback device in the Device Toolbar to the output that your headphones are connected to.
If you're recording and playing back with different audio devices (for example recording with a USB microphone and playing back through the internal sound card) then you will not hear the "live" sound through your headphones, but will be able to hear tracks playing that have already been recorded.
