I'm just getting to using Audacity since upgrading to OS X 10.7.
When I open a mp3 file (or other) in Audacity (1.3.13 - also earlier versions before I updated this), the graph is displayed. When I press play the cursor line "jiggles" but does not progress forward. I've tried this on several file with the same outcome.
Because I've aggressively used Audacity in the past, I am SUSPECTING the problem is related to the Lion upgrade - but don't really know for sure.
Thanks for any help you can offer.
Karl

Audacity 1.3.x is now obsolete. Please use the current Audacity 2.1.x version.
Mac 0S X 10.3 and earlier are no longer supported but you can download legacy versions of Audacity for those systems HERE.

Launch Audacity cold and generate a tone. Does that play?

Thanks for the quick response.
No. It behaves the same. I attached screenshot if that helps.
Notice the green inverted triangle at 0. When I press play, it blinks but doesn't move.

Arrrrrrrrgh!!!!
I had need to reboot. After reboot, this worked the way it should.
I'm sorry to have taken your time - this is not something I normally expect from Apple Macs.
