Swap Tracks

Post by Sprinterdriver » Mon Aug 29, 2011 3:55 pm

Hi.

I feel to say thanks a lot for a great program :D

Swap tracks
The feature may exists, but I haven't found it. I cannot find any way to swap two tracks. I know I can drag'n drop a single region into another track. But it would be really nice if I could have a command that moved current track (if one is selected, or part of audio in that track is selected) up or down. That way, I wouldn't risk that swapped audio track get out of sync with each other.

Thanks ;)

You can drag entire tracks up/down by clicking in the box on the left end of the track and dragging up/down. Take care not to click on one of the buttons or sliders.

I've moved the Drag'n drop audio file into Audacity's main window should keep drop position feature request which was formerly in this thread to the Wiki's Pending Feature Requests page.
