Hi there-
Would anyone fancy telling me why my equalizer no longer previews? You can cut everything down and it still sounds the same when you press preview. The adjustments are only applied when you press ok.
Any hints?

Re: No Previewing On Equalizer
IIRC there may have been a bug which afflicted this - so the developers may have (temporarily?) removed it.
But - a workaround: apply the effect and then use the Undo if it's not right.

Re: No Previewing On Equalizer
There was a problem with this in 1.3.5, but the problem has been cleared in the latest development code , meaning that if you compile Audacity yourself from that code, or use one of our nightly development builds, these issues should not occur. It should no longer be a problem when Audacity 1.3.6 beta is released.

Re: No Previewing On Equalizer
Steve, how do use development codes and builds? I'm not sure what you mean. Would anyone else fill me in?
Re: No Previewing On Equalizer
It involves compiling Audacity from the source code - not too much of a problem on Linux, but rather involved on Windows. There's instructions for compiling Audacity on Linux here: http://www.audacityteam.org/wiki/index. ... rBeginners (and that's easy compared with Windows).
If you can hang on for a bit Audacity 1.3.6 beta is due to be released soon, and that will be a regular install for Windows.
I notice that you have posted on the Audacity 1.2.x board - what version are you using?
For Windows, Audacity 1.3.4 is pretty well bug free and stable, and I believe the Eq preview works as well. It may be worth installing that while we wait for 1.3.6 beta. See the main Audacity web site for the download link.
