I'm trying to make a song using the over-dubbing technique ( which is recording the next track with the rest of them being played at the same time ). The problem is, the fresh track is being recorded with a certain delay. Is there any way to fix this other than just manually shifting the track?

Re: Recording delay
You can adjust latency correction in Preferences -> Recording
Have a look at this topic in the manual: http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/Latency_Test

Re: Recording delay
Why didn't I think of asking it here earlier? I recorded three songs manually shifting each track so far. Now, well ... I'm head banging.
Thank you very much!
