Editing from digital recorder...

Post by ceriserowan » Sun Aug 07, 2011 8:34 pm

I want to edit some sections transferred from a digital voice recorder, when I upload it to Audacity the 40 minute track is shown the length of the Audacity window making it hard to place the cursor to cut out sections...

I cant't find out how to do this, not knowing what it is called, but how do I expand the track to the form they usually have when I have recorded it in Audacity so there is enough space in the track to see where to place the cursor...

The little things with "+" and "-" are supposed to be a magnifying glass: "+" is zoom-in , "-" is zoom-out

If you "select" the portion of the track you want to expand then press the button I have coloured green the selection will expand to fit the screen.

Thank you!
I had tried that but it did not seem to work, found with a really big file it takes a while... or edit in small pieces
works great!
