I have spent a week preparing my sound track and I have now opened it but it will not play, it says "ERROR WHILE OPENING SOUND DEVICE. PLEASE CHECK THE OUTPUT DEVICE SETTINGS AND THE PROJECT SAMPLE RATE" so i am stuck with a sound track I can not improve which is frustrating.
Does anybody have any ideas as to what I can do to repair the damage or change the settings please?

Re: can not play sound track
You're going to need to tell us all about your equipment, computer and connections and describe the show.
I'm typing on a 15" MacBook Pro connected with an analog cable to a Peavey PV6 analog sound mixer. The microphone is a Shure SM58. I'm recording voice clips for later inclusion into a video project.
Your turn.

In addition to the information that Koz requested, what settings do you have in:
"Edit menu > Preferences > Audio I/O"
and
"edit menu > Preferences > Quality"
"Edit menu > Preferences > Audio I/O"
and
"edit menu > Preferences > Quality"
