Loss of bass when using Effect>Vocal Remover (center-panned)

Post by Okieman » Sun Jul 10, 2011 6:25 am

I'm trying to remove the vocals from an Eagles tune and then mix in my own. Try to create my own version of the song. The Vocal Remover does a great job, but for some reason is also zapping the bass. I tried rolling back several steps and boosting the bass, then running the Vocal Remover. Same problem. I'm surprised in part because the vocals being removed are not low pitched, so why is removing mid-range frequencies and then low range as well. Any suggestions for a work-around?
