Audacity will only record Mono Tracks, PLS HELP

Hi im new to this software but not new to audio recording/ripping.
The make stereo track is disabled in audacity and many other features too.
So it will only record in mono.
The only reason i can think of is i am using Free Version maybe these features
are only available in full version that you buy online.
Am i missing something obvious??

If anyone can help would be much appreciated

Audacity has no paid version. This is it.

Audacity wakes up from First Birthday in Mono. Reset in Preferences and then restart Audacity.
