recovering files
my laptop shut itself off in the middle of a very important project and when i turned it back on it said that audacity had saved the files in a backup recovery file or something. it said it couldnt recover them automatically so id have to do it manually, but i dont know how to do that. does anybody else?
Re: recovering files
Crash recovery in Audacity 1.2.x is tricky and somewhat unpredictable. There's a help page on the subject here: http://wiki.audacityteam.org/index.php? ... shRecovery
I would highly recommend that for future use you use Audacity 1.3.13 as this has automatic recovery which can usually recover from such incidents.
