no sound

I have recorded (using Vibe) two old 78's, but when I try to play them back (they are in .aup, mp3, and one in .ogg), I get no audio whether I am using Audacity or Windows Media Player. The sound on my computer is on and up. Help please.

Steve,
Vibe is a USB turntable which plays 78, 45, and 33 rpm records. It comes with Audacity software. I purchase mine, new, at Half-Priced Books.
Thanks for the question,

If you have Audacity 1.2.6 (or earlier) I would recommend that you update to the current 1.3.13 version. The Audacity 1.2.x series is very old and the developers stopped supporting it years ago.
You can get Audacity 1.3.13 from here: http://audacityteam.org/download/

There's a tutorial here for using USB turntables: http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Trans ... uter_or_CD

All,
I finally figured out the problem: when the Vibe turntable USB cable is plugged into my computer, it mutes all sound.
