failure to remove clicks and pops
I am using Windows XP and have downloaded Audacity1.2.6. I received some advice on editing out pops and clicks -- "Select ALL from Edit Menu, from the Effect Menu choose CLICK REMOVAL. Everything seemed to be working until I burnt a cd off the pop and click demo and all the pops and clicks were still there. I tried this twice with different settings in the frequency box and still nothing. What am I doint wrong? help

Re: failure to remove clicks and pops
Audacity's click removal is ok - but I prefer to use Brian Davies' excellent ClickRepair. It costs $40 is well worth it if you have a lot of tracks to process. See this sticky thread: http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=1994
Record=> Export a WAV=> Process through ClickRepair=>re-import WAV +> all further editing in Audacity.

Re: failure to remove clicks and pops
After processing in Audacity and listening back in Audacity were the clicks and pops gone? If so, then you failed to Export the processed file.skyscraper wrote: all the pops and clicks were still there
