How to create a multi track

No problem when I record one track. When I add a new track for backing vocals, it's impossible to play the first track. Probably there's is something wrong with my settings but I don't know what.

How are you recording? What equipment are you using?

I use Eurorack MXB1002 and Windows XP

First I made a recording of guitar and vocal (two mics, one track). I can listen to the track.
Now I want to add some backing vocals. So I create a new track and after that I use the red recording button. I can record, but don't hear the first track with guitar and vocal.

You do not need to "make a track" before you start recording. When you press the Record button a new track will automatically be created.

To hear the first track while recording the second, you should have these options near the bottom of the "Transport" menu:
Software Playthrough: disabled (not ticked)
Overdub: enabled (ticked)

I've tried this before. But when I ticked 'overdub', then I hear the first track with a lot of noice. First track seems to be re-recorded as midi.


Got a solution. Disable 'stereomix' in realtec manager
