What should be the ideal setting for audacity if I want to record from a walkman ?
I found a Youtube video which shows recording from a Cassette player, but input device was configured to microphone !!
I set it to `Line in' (as per instructions of audacity help) but not working. though I tried the `micropone' point of my PC as well.
Nothing is working. can anyone help ?

Re: I want to record from a walkman
Have a look at this set of tutorials from the manual: http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/Tuto ... iscs_to_CD
Don't be tempted to used the Mic-in on your PC from a line-level device like your Walkman - the mic input is expecting a much lower level signal and thus you may irreparably damage your soundcard.
