Hi,
I have the follow problem: once edited a file using the envelope tool and quitted Audacity, when I open the project again the track is still there, but empty: no waveform at all. Anyone knowing why? I am using a Powerbook G4, OS Tiger 10.4.9, 2GB of RAm.
thanks

Audacity 1.3.x is now obsolete. Please use the current Audacity 2.1.x version.
Mac 0S X 10.3 and earlier are no longer supported but you can download legacy versions of Audacity for those systems HERE.

Re: problem with the envelopes
Did you save the project after you used the tool? The blue waveforms and the actual show are different. Is the show still there--does it play anyway?

Re: problem with the envelopes
Yes, of course I saved the project. The empty track doesn't play anything.
Re: problem with the envelopes
Is the Audacity project data folder still intact?

Re: problem with the envelopes
yyes, and the samples are still there
Re: problem with the envelopes
This is usually a symptom of either:
A computer crash - Audacity closed before all the data was saved.
or
Some of the data files have been moves, changed, or deleted.
In this case, it doesn't sound like either of these scenarios apply.
Is the problem repeatable, or just a one off?
If repeatable, what are the steps required to make this happen?
