I am soooooooo mad. I figured out how to use audacity. I downloaded the 1.2.x windows 7. I even recorded a cassette YEAH. But when I tried to do it again the "line-in" in preferences was not there again. So I did it all over again. I uninstalled everything and downloaded the audacity 1.2 again but this time the "line-in" choice under preferences WAS NOT THERE. What in this world is going on here????? What am I doing wrong?????? Please if anyone can help me PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: recording
What you're doing wrong is using audacity 1.2.x with windows 7.
Upgrade to 1.3.12. You can get it from here: http://audacityteam.org/download/beta_windows

Include as much details as you can in your post (Audacity version, Operating System, Equipment used, etc).
Please post your question in the appropriate forum (regarding audacity version and operating system).
