Audacity froze while I was saving a recent 3-minute project. I retrieved all the files from the tmp folder after restarting Audacity and they are sitting in a folder on my desktop. I was wondering where to go from here.
Thanks in advance,
John

Audacity 1.2.x is now obsolete. Please use the current Audacity 2.1.x version.
Mac 0S X 10.3 and earlier are no longer supported but you can download legacy versions of Audacity for those systems HERE.

Re: Frozen While Saving
Stop using Audacity 1.2. Audacity 1.2 is very old and is no longer supported, patched, upgraded or corrected. It can be profoundly unstable on newer Macs.
Get Audacity 1.3.12 and any software plugins (lame, FFMpeg, etc.) from here...

Audacity 1.3 projects will not open in 1.2. You can safely put both versions on your machine, but only use one at a time.

Re: Frozen While Saving
Audacity 1.3 has greatly increased disaster recovery tools over 1.2, so the short answer is your show is toast, unless your 1.3 account can do anything with the files.
