Audacity to CleanUp MP4 Video?

Is it possible to use Audacity to alter (re equalize, noise removal...) the Video MP4 audio that was created from an analogue Video?

If yes would be interested in any suggestions.

Yes it is, but you also need appropriate software to extract the audio from the video and put it back again. Audacity can deal with the audio part, but not the video. Do you have suitable video software?

As a beginner am at a loss which of the 4 Windows apps to try.

Maybe should rephrase my question: What Video Editing Software(either Free or Paid) would you use with Audacity to alter the Video MP4 audio that was created from an analogue Video?

Which video editor to use is a separate issue from the Audacity version. Audacity will just be used to edit/process a WAV file, the video program is required to recombine the new (processed) audio with the original video image.

To extract the audio from an MP4 video file you can use "WinFF".
To recombine the processed audio with the video you could use "Avidemux GTK".

Both of these programs are available for Ubuntu through "Applications menu > Ubuntu Software Centre"

Was able to find a Wiki for "Avidemux GTK" with info for both input and output formats.

To date have searched to forum for tips, tutorials, or docs on using Audacity to CleanUp any type of Video but only thing I have found is this posting.

Either I am doing something wrong or there is no interested in using Audacity to CleanUp Videos?

Editing and cleaning the sound track from a video is pretty much the same as working on a recording from a cassette tape.
