Easier way to stereo pan tracks????

Post by southboundpachyderm1 » Tue Mar 01, 2011 7:01 pm

Is there an easier way to pan a track from left to right other than playing it in a left channel, then clipping the rest and fading it into itself into a mono channel, then doing the same into a right channel and vice versa? Thanks in advance.

I'm going to get into trouble here.

Open the show as a mono track. When you touch the pan controls (left of the track) Audacity will automatically generate a stereo show and it will follow the controls left, right, or whatever. Mix and Render to make the changes stick.

You can't do any of this in real time. It's all post production.

There are various panning (and butterfly) plug-ins for Audacity here ... http://audacityteam.org/download/nyquistplugins
