No sound
I downloaded Audacity to my new computer running Windows 7. I imported a audio track and started listening to it. I hit something (No idea what it was) and now I have no sound at all on any track. Please help.

Re: No sound
Do you have the mute buttons selected on the left of the track?
Can you still listen to Youtube and play a CD?

Re: No sound
Everything works fine. I can play music through window media, play a cd mp3 everything works, but Audacity has no sound

Re: No sound
When you play a track, do you get the bouncing green sound meters? Just silent?

Re: No sound
I'm sorry I had to go out of town and was not able to reply before. Yes the green graph is moving. there is just no sound. I have checked and everything is unmuted.
Re: No sound
This is similar to the problem I'm having - I had normal sound output using Audacity (and still do using WMP or any other non-Audacity source) but something is now changed and there is no sound. I posted the specifics on mine on the Windows page under the heading "After all this - no sound".
I'm thinking that I'll need to uninstall/reinstall Audacity but will wait to see if someone has an other suggestion.

Re: No sound
wolfspirit1964, what settings do you have in "Edit menu > Preferences > Devices"?
Do you have a USB audio device connected to the computer?
How are your headphones/speakers connected to the computer.
challey, reinstalling Audacity is very unlikely to fix anything. To avoid confusing the issue for wolfspirit1964 your issue will be answered in your topic and not here.
