i just got a package deal on a ART Tube MP Studio preamp, a generic mic cable, and a MXL V63M condenser mic.
I got a 6ft shielded 1/4" - 1/8" audio cable from Radio Shack.
The mic plugs into the preamp, the preamp plugs into the audio in on my MacBook Pro.
I can get signal coming through the preamp, but not going out into the computer, either to Logic or Garageband.
I'm not sure if it's the adapter I got from Radio Shack, or the input itself, or what.
This sucks!

That's how I record everything given differences in equipment here and there.
