Not all original recordings contain noticeable amounts of very high frequencies. On the other hand it's very easy to add high frequency noise to a recording.
How are you going to be able to tell if any high frequencies present are from the original recording or just noise that has been added later, other than by listening to the track.
If it sounds good, it IS good. If it sounds rubbish, it IS rubbish.
