Audacity 1.2.x is now obsolete. Please use the current Audacity 2.1.x version.

Mac 0S X 10.3 and earlier are no longer supported but you can download legacy versions of Audacity for those systems HERE.

No Wave Pattern

Post by rogerworldie » Mon Jan 03, 2011 8:25 pm

On Mac OS 10.4.11 there is no wave pattern, only a red straight line moving from left to right. Midi is set up correctly.
What to do please?

Thanks,
Roger

We need more information about what you're talking about and what you are trying to achieve... What equipment do you have? How is it connected to the computer? Where do you see the red line? The default in audacity is a blue line.
Include as much details as you can in your post (Audacity version, Operating System, Equipment used, etc).
Please post your question in the appropriate forum (regarding audacity version and operating system).

You mean the vertical red line? Yes, that's the recording time pointer. That works with the horizontal time line to tell you how much work you have recorded.

The important one is the blue waves. That represents the actual show.

That is what a normal recording is supposed to look like. That's the point we need to know a lot more about your connections and job.
