export as AIFF
macintosh os x 10.5.2 following the steps included in the instructions i am directed to click on file and choose export as AIFF (mac), I do not have an export as AIFF option under the file tab uld you suggest i I only have as options ( new, open, or recent files )under the file tab. what should i do ? thanks gary howard

Audacity > Preferences > File Formats should let you change the file type.
You might want to think about changing from WAV to AIFF. iTunes, for example, accepts WAV just fine, and it's a much more universal format. If you email an AIFF to a friend with a PC, they might not be able to play it.
