I have an iBook with OS 10.4.11. I downloaded Audacity into my Applications folder and when I double-clicked to open it received this message: 'You cannot open the download "audacity" because it is not supported on this system'. What do I do to get it supported? denisladbrook

Re: Installing Audacity
I'm running Audacity 1.2 on a Tiger (10.4.11) system, but I'm doing it on an Intel Mac, not a Power PC Mac.
You should have downloaded Audacity 1.2.6, not 1.2.5.
However, you are urged strongly to give it all up and install Audacity 1.3.12.

Audacity 1.2 is no longer supported, updated, or patched and can become unstable. The tools are much improved in Audacity 1.3.
