I would like to split a recording of my reading when making a radiostory, but keeping these splitted recordings on the same track. This works fine on some other students audacity. But in my case; when I mark the area to split, copies delete and paste it in another place on the track, it "jumps" back to the other recording so that its remained "unsplitted".
I use windows xp and audacity 1.2.6.
This was perhaps not a very accurate description of the problem, but hope someone can help.

Re: How to split a recording
Upgrade to 1.3.12. What you're seeing on the "other" Audacity is "clips". 1.2.6 does not support clips.
