recording a continuous sound

I've never recorded anything before, therefore, I am a total newbie. I need to record a sound and have it replay for at least 8 hours straight. I don't have the least idea of how to do this. I bought a microphone, but it only lets me record for 2 minutes. How do I get a continuous loop? And for 8 hours. Either recorded on my computer or on a cd, whichever is easier. :|

I'm really not sure what you are asking - could you be a bit more specific about what you are trying to do.
