Audacity rocks!

Post by sfkrystal » Tue Nov 16, 2010 3:32 pm

I have been working daily with Audacity for the last couple weeks and almost every day I encounter something small that ups my impressedness with it. Years ago I used other programs (on one of those *other* OSes) and now coming back into music after having been linuxed, I figured I would use an open-source utility until I got to the point where I need something more professional. After having worked through 3 songs without finding any brick walls, I'm not so sure that day will come.

So a big THANK YOU to everyone involved!

Krystal

You will probably run up against some limitations eventually, but at that point you will probably find Audacity so useful that you continue to use it alongside other tools.
As a matter of interest, which Linux distro are you using? Do you use Jack?

Ive worked with logic, and pro tools. and I think Audacity is really just as good in most ways.
You can stack effects endlessly and have an amazing amount of tracks going at one time.

I Cant beleive this is free software.

:D So I say a big Thank you to the Audacity team also.

Huge Thank You to Audacity creators! For me this is really the Top software for audio recording. I have tried many audio recording programs like Cool Edit Pro and so on. When I found audacity, my mind was blowen up! So simple and rich of functionality! Love it! :D
