Korg D8
I have a korg d8 and wanted to know if it is possible to mix songs into audacity by using a midi/usb cable? If anyone knows another way to get the songs mixed down I would appreciate it. I had been using a philips cd recorder but it went south and I didn't really want to buy a new one. Thanks.
Re: Korg D8
I can start by saying you certainly won't be able to use a MIDI cable to do that. Without knowing more about the D8, it's hard to say more. It doesn't look like it has a USB port, so I'm not sure what you're expecting to be able to do.
The way I see it now, the only thing you can do is record each track into Audacity individually using the Line In and then line them up afterwards. Send 2 tracks at once, each panned hard left and hard right, then split them up later in Audacity, you'll halve the time you need to record.
I don't see any way to transfer the files more quickly, but again, I don't know much about the D8.
