I added a stereo vocal track to a stereo kareoke music accompaniment, which gave me four tracks. The accompaniment tracks 1 and 2 offer individual panning but not the vocal tracks, 3 and 4.
I split the vocal track (Track menu -> "Split Stereo Track") but still no panning option appear in either track 3 or 4.
I want to EQ track 3 and add a phaser effect to track 4 then pan one left andf the other right, for separation. But I don't want to mix down the compilation without firstly panning the vocals. Is there a trick to pan the additional tracks, or will Audacity only pan tracks 1 and 2?

Re: Need help with panning...
All audio tracks have a pan slider, but if the track is not deep enough (vertical height) you won't be able to see it.
To stretch a track so that it is higher vertically, move the mouse pointer over the bottom edge of the track, then when it turns into a vertical double pointed arrow, click and drag the bottom edge down.
