I want to add a 5-second long introduction of silence to a WAV file of music. I see that you can add silence with Control + L, but I don't know how to get that in to the very beginning, before the music starts. (Well, actually, I do know how to do it in my movie editor, but the technique doesn't work in Audactiy -- and I think I lose quality exporting from the movie editor.)

Re: Adding Intro
Put the cursor in the performance somewhere.
[Home] > Generate > Silence... > 5 > Generate Silence
That's the Home key on the keyboard.

Ahh. Thank you.
I didn't get a notice that I had a reply on this message, although I am checked for "Notify me when a reply is posted." And the same thing has started happening to me on another forum that uses this exact same format. Any ideas as to why this might be so?
