Can't get new Mac Beta from SourceForge

I have tried to download the new Mac Beta from two mirrors - the download gets as far as the "Downloading..." page, which displays the Dell ad, and then hangs. Same effect using both Safari and Firefox. What's happening - are the servers overloaded or terminal?

Try the "direct link" that is on the download page.

I'm having the same problem. Some servers return "File not found", others set off an endless loop of redirects that is eventually halted by my browser. The "direct download" link returns the same.

It seems to me like the Mac beta is not on the servers at all; hence, the "file not found" errors and endless redirects.

I've manually tried every single mirror, too. It just ain't there.

Okay, I think I've cracked it. Try downloading it directly from the Sourceforge project page (http://sourceforge.net/projects/audacity/), not from the Audacity home page http://audacityteam.org/. It downloaded just fine from the Sourceforge project page. Possibly something malformed in the link on the Audacity home page?

Same problem:MacOSX 10.4.11; Safari says a "redirect" problem; tried all NA mirrors - same; downloaded 1.2.6 with no problem, but 1.3.5 doesn't download. Same result with "direct link". However from Sourceforge page you can find a direct download which DOES work.(Thanks to post above!) Will Audacity team correct this?

Until the problem is sorted out, here is a direct link to the latest 1.3.5 which includes a fix for problems importing files on PPC Macs:

That's because 1.3.5b has been superseded by 1.3.5d (includes a fix for greyed out menus after using or previewing effects). It is correctly listed (and working) on our Beta Mac download page:
