Lame Add On Problem?

I downloaded it a few weeks ago. Well I downloaded it, followed the tutorial, and every time I try to get it to work, this pop up comes up when I'm trying to convert a loop or song to a .mp3 file



It's very annoying, I even tried about 2-3 times by uninstalling it and downloading again, but it won't work.

Can somebody please help me?

Are you downloading LAME from http://lame.buanzo.com.ar ?

There is a new "Lame v3.98.3 for Audacity on Windows.exe" you can try from that Buanzo site. If that doesn't work also try "libmp3lame-win-3.98.2.zip" from the same site.

You can also try these alternatives:

* lame_enc.dll from:
http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Lame_ ... #All_users

* lame_enc.dll (3.98.2) without manifest (this solves most problems which can't otherwise be resolved):
http://www.gaclrecords.org.uk/lame_enc_no_manifest.zip

* As a last resort, a version of lame_enc.dll 3.97 which should work:
http://forum.audacityteam.org/download/file.php?id=824

We do not recommend LAME 3.97 because that version produces distortions unless you use bit rates over 192 kbps.
