stereo recording /no R channel

confused beginner...using roland mc808 to yamaha audiogram 3 to computer/audacity , I can confirm stereo out of audiogram 3 and stereo input to computer ...but after I burn a cd ,only L channel was recorded. music plays from both sides/speakers but is only L channel,what am I missing? all sugestions welcomed , am very new to this and feel quite stupid. Thanks

While you record in Audacity, do you get the red recording meters and are they different during the course of the show?

You got fuzzy when you were describing connecting the Yamaha 3 to the computer. How exactly did you do that? What kind of cable, what kind of computer? Who made it?
