Error message.

Hi. When pressing record button I get this message, "Error while opening sound device. Please check the input device settings and the project sample rate." This is on computer with Win 7. I downloaded ver i.3 Beta - but still the same. It is OK on computer with Win XP. I can't find anything to adjust. Can anyone say how I can overcome this Error Message please.

Firstly, you should be using the 1.3.12. Audacity 1.2 does not work well with Windows 7.

Then you need to go to the Windows Control Panel to enable the input that you want to use. Audacity is completely dependent on the computer's sound system for its inputs.
