Hi,
I just downloaded Audacity because have a recording of someone giving a speech, but it's in 99 separate MP3s. They range in length from a few seconds to about a minute. I want to string them all together into one MP3, and a friend recommended Audacity. But being a complete newbie to sound editing, I can't figure out how to do it. First I imported the first track, then did "add track" with the next few; I listened --and they all played at once! How do I get them to play sequentially? Could anyone please help?
how to put many fragments together?

Audacity 1.3.x is now obsolete. Please use the current Audacity 2.1.x version.
Mac 0S X 10.3 and earlier are no longer supported but you can download legacy versions of Audacity for those systems HERE.

Re: how to put many fragments together?
Use the Time Shift tool to drag the segments together on one track.
