Making a screen shot

Post by hagekay » Fri Apr 11, 2008 8:38 pm

I have a wave form problem and want to show it to the forum members for a resolution. "A picture is a 1000 words". How do I take a screen shot? how do I post it ? OS is XP Professional.

Press the "Print Screen" button on your keyboard - this will capture the screen to the clipboard. Now open a paint program (photoshop, corel paint, paint dot net, serif photo paint, or even plain ol' Microsoft Paint), and paste the contents of the clipboard into a new document. Crop the image so that it shows the part that you want and export as (or save as) a jpg, png or gif. When you want to post the image, start your message and you will see a tab below the text box that says "Upload Attachment". Click on that tab and add your image file. Once the file is uploaded to this website you are presented with the option to "Place inline" (so that appears at the current cursor position in you message).
