a pop and click remover

hi gang

im having an issue with the pop and click in both audacity and goldwave..they dont seem to
get rid of the pops and clicks.is there a different software that i can try and if i like it i can
buy it thatll get rid of pops and clicks?thanks.

its very good..i just did a 78 in need of cleaning and it cleaned up like a shot..and its so easy to use too.better than gold wave vand audacity..thanks..

Lenny, as you are processing 78s you might also want to look at Brian Davies' other piece of software - DeNoise. It costs another $40, but like ClickRepair you do get a 21-day free trial,

It's not quite as easy to use as CR but it does produce some good results when used carefully.

I evaluated DeNoise and DeNoiseLF a few weeks ago and concluded I would not buy them. Actually, those 2 apps are part of 1 package.

Not because they don't work---they do, and quite well. But Audacity noise reduction works quite well also. And I found DeNoise not suitable for me in one respect: it's difficult to grab a small noise sample with the mouse because you cannot zoom into a track like you can in Audacity. That probably isn't a problem if you have several seconds of noise available, but if you have less than a second, that represents a very small piece of screen width and it's difficult to see it clearly or grab it.

Your mileage may differ and you can test it for nothing. Several people here have purchased DeNoise and are quite happy with it.

I will say that the batch processing in his applications is excellent---as is the documentation. DeNoise and DeNoise LF are easy to use and don't have 50 controls. The defaults work pretty well.

Which reminds me:

I downloaded a trial version of Magix Audio Cleaning Lab 16--their most recent package.

Utterly useless. It may "work" very well, but the interface is so confusing and convoluted that I could see it would have a VERY steep learning curve. Dozens of doodads and drop downs with no apparent logical order or intuitiveness. And the documentation was mediocre. I'd avoid it entirely.

i downloaded the denoisier but im not getting how to use it..i looked at the documentation but its a little over my head..has
