Hello I'm Bast (Dani )

Hi, everyone my name is Bast, (real name Dani) I dont know if this is in the right place where it should be, but I am new on your site as you obviously know and I'm also new to Computers, PC's, and i'm learning hopefully PC talk. I hope no-one minds helping me but i have to - need to make an audio recordings, I have a USB Samson Mic and cables, and I'm pretty certain the sound works because i have various sounds when I start up or close down ect. I have been told to download Audacity which i did with some help from my friends, but i'm still having trouble getting everything to work, what am i doing wrong? I cannot make recordings and any pre-recording thing only plays back at a very low volume, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE can anybody help me

There's a number of tutorials and other documents that may help you find your feet better than a general discussion here. However, if you do work through the tutorials and you still have specific questions, by all means post them here and someone will doubtless help out.
